Oakland is coming off a 28-23 win over the Houston Texans, which essentially kept the Raiders’ season alive. Rookie quarterback Matt McGloin made his debut and was terrific, throwing for three touchdowns without tossing an interception.
The Saints, meanwhile, will be without running back/key pass catcher Darren Sproles, who missed practice Tuesday and Wednesday because of knee and ankle injuries. On an offense that likes to spread the ball around, Sproles has been one of Drew Brees’ most consistent targets this season. He is third on the team with 48 receptions for Cheap Denver Broncos Jerseys 463 yards. He has pitched in 146 yards on 38 carries on the ground.
The Saints will also be missing guard Jahri Evans because of an ankle injury. The absences of Sproles and Evans could hamper a high-flying Saints offense, though having Brees behind center should mitigate their losses NBA Jerseys Wholesale substantially.
Hayden was selected No. 12 overall during the NFL Draft in April, and was the second cornerback taken behind Alabama’s Dee Milliner. Perhaps due to his lack of practice time, Hayden didn’t make the immediate impact many Raiders fans had hoped. He started just two games for Oakland this season. Hayden graded out as the 93rd best corner in the league out of 107 qualifying players, according to Pro Football Focus.
Fortunately for Hayden, he’ll have a long time to rest and get healthy for the 2017 season, at which point he may be able to take full advantage of the athleticism that made him one of the top picks in his class.
